Kick-off
meeting of the HEHIHB-AMT Network

Scope
The kick-off meeting covered the following topics (see also the
agenda):
Introduction of the activities (L. Bottura, H. Haseroth and L. Rossi):
Representatives from collaborating Laboratories presented highlights of
their activities, field of expertise and capabilities:
Discussion on the scope of the First HEHIHB-AMT Workshop on Accelerator
Magnets and Superconductors. L. Bottura presented a
summary of the
scope and preliminary program of the workshop. The workshop will
take place at Archamps, in March 2004, with main participation from EU
Laboratories and Industries, and invited speakers from the US, Japan
and Russia. The proposal is to publish the proceedings of the workshop
as a CERN report. This report will form part of the deliverables of the
HEHIHB activities.
Actions
- H. Haseroth to provide rules for travel and reimbursements within
the scope of the Networking activities.
- AMT Work Package Coordinators to prepare a proposal for a
work-plan to be discussed at the coordination meeting, see below the
agenda of the next meeting.
Next meeting
The next meeting will take place on March 25th, at CERN. Planned
duration is 1 day. Proposed agenda for the meeting:
- Parallel sessions, chaired by Work Package Coordinators. The aim
is to finalise a work-plan and schedule for each topic of the AMT Work
Package.
- General session, with Work Package Coordinators reporting on the
agreed work-plan
